Some companies that raise capital on Equivesto may offer dividends or other re-occurring payments to investors. Those companies may choose to use Equivesto to provide those dividends to investors.

Not all companies that offer dividends or other payments will choose to provide dividends via Equivesto. If they choose to provide dividends via another method, they will contact you directly regarding the steps involved in providing those dividends.

This page outlines the process for accepting dividends and other payments from companies that choose to use Equivesto to provide those payments to investors.

Equivesto uses our payment provider Versapay to move funds in Canada, and we use Versapay to transmit any dividends or other payments from companies directly to your bank account via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).

The following is the process to claim your first payment, set up your free Versapay account, and link it to your Canadian bank account. Once your account is set up with Versapay, all future payments will not require further setup or steps beyond simply accepting the payment via email.

Step 1: Claim the payment via your email

Equivesto will send you an email notifying you that a payment has been sent. Please check your email and junk folder for an email from Versapay stating: Equivesto Canada Inc. has sent you $XXX Using Versapay

Step 2: Confirm your Bank account details, address & provide sign in information

Versapay moves funds via electronic funds transfer from Equivesto Canada to your Canadian bank account. Providing these details will let Versapay know where to send your money, confirm the bank account is yours, and allow you to sign in to versapay in the future if needed to check on any payments.

Step 3: Review and confirm your payment details. Wait for Versapay to deposit a small amount into your bank account to confirm it is your account.

Step 4: Confirmation Email from Versapay. Versapay will email you in 2-3 days to confirm that the small amount has been deposited. Follow the instructions in the email to confirm the amount.

Step 5: Provide the small deposit amount to Versapay to complete the process and verify your bank account.

Step 6: Receive payments!

Now that your free Versapay account is verified and connected to your bank account, each time you receive a payment from a company through Equivesto, all you need to do is click ‘claim payment’ in the email from Versapay to accept the funds.
