What is Equivesto?

To keep it short and sweet, Equivesto is an online investment platform and equity crowdfunding portal on which:  

1. People can invest in impactful private Canadian companies. 

2. Companies can raise money by selling partial ownership directly to their own community.

Equivesto is an impartial and welcoming platform for investors and companies of all backgrounds.  Our core mission is to impower founders and investors who have not traditionally had access to investing in private companies.  Everything from our language and experience to our pricing are crafted to make it easy for everyone to participate, and our job is to make the complicated business of investing in private companies simple for everyone involved.  Have a question? Our platform is focused on creating opportunities for companies that have been overlooked or excluded by traditional funding methods.  While we vet each company for security, fit, and readiness, we work hard to avoid any application of conscious or unconscious bias when approving companies for our platform.  The strength of your idea, team, and effort alone are what determine your eligibility for Equivesto.  

Do you have a mobile app? 

The Equivesto platform is developed as a web application that functions properly on all devices including phones, tablets, and computers.  We do not have a dedicated IOS or Android App.  Deciding to invest in companies can involve the review and analysis of several complex documents. We personally find reviewing such documents on the small screens of phones to be difficult, and as such, recommend that investors use computers when doing their detailed reviews.
